The Watchtower is an abandoned tower located in the Darkling Woods. It has at least two floors connected by spiral staircases, and the roof is accessible from the topmost floor.
History[]
Finna discovered the watchtower while on the run during the Great Purge. It became a place of refuge where she could hide from Uther (and later from Arthur) and his Knights.
Finna took Merlin to the tower after he was injured by Saxons. However, Morgana and her men soon tracked them down, forcing them to retreat to the very top of the tower. With nowhere left to go, Finna sent Merlin to hide on the roof while she faced Morgana alone.
Finna ultimately committed suicide to prevent Morgana from finding out that Merlin was Emrys. Later, after Morgana and her men left, Merlin summoned Kilgharrah to carry him to safety (The Kindness of Strangers).
