Focusing on the fact that both of them hated magic and banned it( a very stupid foolish silly thing:)) I guess they both have good parts and they did something for their community. Here's a review of their lordships.

UTHER'S REIGN![]

I will begin with him because he's the oldest:).

What I liked:

  • Despite his often harsh and tyrannical display of temper,  Uther was  protective of his son and deeply loved him. When he realised that Arthur was  going to fight a wraith, a creature that could not be killed by any mortal weapon,Uther decided to sacrifice himself and fight the wraith in Arthur' s stead so that his son would live. He also cared deeply for Morgana, and though he locked her in the dungeons when she defied him, he later apologised to her, admitting he was wrong, and told her that she was like a daughter to him. He also cared for the wellbeing of the people, even those outside his kingdom.

What I didn't like:

His hatred for magic. When you hate something and you do the best you can to avoid it ,it turns more and more against you...his wife, his son,his daughter(who became an evil witch because of him) died because of magic..That's a pity!

At least he was a complete king,he's done everything for his beloved Camelot,so that's why KUDOS TO UTHER!!

Arthur's reign![]

Here's what I think:

I liked the fact he was listening to his father,I agree ,not everytime. He wanted to do his best for Camelot and for his father himself, even if he didn't respect his rules on what concerned Gwen and the Kights of the Round Table.

I didn't like again his hatred for magic..if only he had known what Merlin had done for him earlier! It' s such a shame! this is my biggest question! Why Merlin couldn't have told Arthur earlier about his magic and let's suppose that Arthur wouldn't have killed him for betrayal.

These are my thoughts. Now that I've analised each reign I must give a conclusion: Uther was a better king than Arthur was! And I guess I'm not the only one who thinks this! I must say that Fimber changed my opinion about Uther! Now I have a clear point of view in what concernes him! Thanks! :)
