For all those wonderful people who clicked on my blog, I must inform that this is just exasperated rambling about the show. After last episode, I just had this feeling and the frustration just randomly turned into a blog. I'm just getting my thoughts out.?
Series 5 is boring me.?
Series 4 was boring.Series 3 was boring. Series 2 was boring. And series 1 was boring. BECAUSE of the stupid build-up thru it all to THIS. Arthur's death. There was no reveal, of any kind. Merlin's been under a mask the entire show, we will never know how the Camelotians would have treated Merlin if he were to reveal he had magic. There is no longer enough time for Arthur to actually bring magic back before he kicks the bucket. Most of the series is being wasted with fillers, suspenseful fillers, but fillers nonetheless. Because in most of them there is no character development,plot development, or really anything that affects the main theme of the show that makes it popular. MERLIN'S MAGIC. I'll admit it, thats the main reason I keep watching the show, is for the reveal. Because things need to be put right, that's what stories are supposed to do. I just don't understand the concept of doing this giant fantastic show with build up for a big awesome fantasy legend and friendship and magic and all that stuff, when really the end-result is to basically just have Merlin go on a downward spiral and crash and burn.?
I think I might go into tv or something and remake Merlin so it's better. And not so tragic. The only problem is that Colin won't be able to play Merlin, :'( It should be an animated series, that way it could go on and on and on and on and on. It should be American too, so there's 26 episodes a year instead of 13.
