I thought I'd make a blog post about Merlin's lovely Mum, Hunith. But I have some things to say about her...
- Her appearance in the Dragon's Call was weird, showing her in some kind of flashback, but it did satisfy me :)
- In the Moment of Truth she appeared to be brave and do things no regular farmer lady would do.
- Her appearance in Le Morte d'Arthur was totally random and out of nothing, but it seemingly worked for the episode!
- She didn't appear after that for nearly three seasons! There was a reference to her in the Last Dragonlord, anout her not telling Merlin about Balinor.
- Her appearance in the Sword in the Stone was brief and they didn't get to explaining about Balinor.
And now I have some questions...
- Why was Hunith used so regularly in Series 1 and she only appeared once after Series 1?
- Why would Hunith think Uther is a good king if he hunts her lover, Balinor, and was a great threat to her son?
- Why didn't they explain Balinor in 4x12?
- Will she appear in Series 5?
