Okay, so I just found out that the actress who plays Alvarr's girlfriend, Enmyria (the beautiful Emily Beecham) is going to play Isabelle Angelfield/March in a BBC TV movie production of the brillant Diane Setterfield novel The Thirteenth Tale.

Words cannot express how much I LOVE The Thirteenth Tale. In fact, if anyone cares, the "March" at the end of my user name CAME FROM that book. Want to know what it's about think Wuthering Heights/Jane Eyre with a beautiful subplot about twins, writing, and humanity. It really is brillant and I cannot urge enough of you who may be interested in seeing this movie when it comes out (I've heard it's due sometime this winter) to PLEASE read the book first, it's too good to miss!

Anyway, my love of this book…

Hello fellow Merlin fans, long time no blog!

Well, I'm sorry to say this isn't going to be a "fun" blog where I talk about characters and my opinons on fanfiction or whatever, and we all get to have a spirited debate in the comments on which pairings we support and what-not.

Nope, I'm actually only writing this to find out if anyone else out there (if you're really looking to be helpful, it would be best if you're from the USA or at least have bought the US release of Merlin season five) has had problems with the most recent Merlin dvd set release.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting MUCH. They've stopped making the fancy boxes (see season four) and scores of fans have whined about how there is no commentary on the final episode here in the USA. …

I am well aware that opinons among the fans of Arthurian legends varies -at time widely- in regards to feelings towards the BBC Merlin series. Some find it a breath of fresh air, a reminder of why they loved the legends in the first place (like myself), others don't see it as a good adaptation or simply prefer another Arthurian show or mini-series' take on the familiar tales.

Some loved the show from start to finish, some were mad that it kept getting renewed and Starz Camelot did not...

Well no harm there. Everyone's allowed to like what they want. What is too kiddish for one person may be a delightful break from grown up stuff for another, and visa versa. What is a cool way of looking at the legends to one is a dull rendering to another.

    Howe…

So I just read, on another blog post, that Howard Overman has written a new series that will be the next Robin Hood/Merlin (aka, the saturday night fantasty show for the BBC). It's called Atlantis and seems to be based on Greek myths, but I will not say anything else about the show itself, as I don't want this to be a duplicate blog post.

My thoughts are on Howard Overman's writing itself.

I really loved The Beginning of the End, in season one of Merlin, as well as Queen of Hearts in series three. If you think about it, those episode were BIG deals for the series, as a whole; Queen of Hearts expanded on the Arthur/Gwen romance, showed a future that more or less came to pass an entire season later, AND was the very first apperance of Old Merlin, a…

    Hello again, fellow Merlin fans!

Long time no blog... Or maybe it's not that long... I dunno, I've been feeling unwell lately and I think that's messed up my perception of time. Finally getting off the "I'm so tired, I don't CARE what bloody day it is!" kick; LOL.

Well, as you all know, the fourth season of Merlin was released last month here in the USA, and I was one of the happy buyers. And while I fully expected to have to wait another year for season five to be released in my country, I was delighted to hear that, as a matter of fact, the dvd release had been announced, not for next Jan. but rather for April! I assume it has something to do with the fact that it's the last season and they just want to get the whole thing released over here…
