Time Magic is a form of magic that involves the manipulation of time. It is most commonly used to slow down objects or even time itself.
History
Merlin frequently used this form of magic when he first came to Camelot. He slowed down time to save Gaius from a deadly fall; to stop a bucket of water from hitting the floor after Gaius spilled it; and to decelerate the movement of Mary Collins' dagger before it hit Arthur (The Dragon's Call).
When Edwin Muirden used telekinesis to throw an axe at him, Merlin used time magic to slow and then stop its flight (A Remedy to Cure All Ills).
Merlin slowed down time to observe Aulfric's meeting with the Sidhe, whose movements were normally too fast for mortals to see. He also slowed the movements of reeds on the lakeshore, tree branches blowing in the wind, and the waves on the surface of the water (The Gates of Avalon).
Morgause's ritual to summon Ygraine's spirit appeared to temporarily stop time (The Sins of the Father).
Grunhilda slowed time to speak with the Sidhe Elder. Merlin later slowed time so he could see the Sidhe Elder while they dueled (The Changeling).
When the Gleeman entertained the court with his knife throwing act, Merlin used time magic to perceive the movements of his dagger to determine whether it was going to hit Arthur (The Wicked Day).
