Osgar was a sorcerer who served the Court of the Disir. He was tasked with delivering a runemark to Arthur Pendragon.
Biography[]
The Court of the Disir tasked Osgar with delivering a runemark to Arthur Pendragon. He was intercepted by Knights of Camelot in the Forest of Brechfa, who attempted to apprehend him. Osgar escaped using his magic, mortally wounding Sir Ranulf in the process, but remained in the forest.
When news of this incident reached Camelot, Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table set out to bring Osgar to justice. Osgar left them a clear trail to follow and allowed Mordred to catch a glimpse of him. He then introduced himself to Gwaine and Elyan when they found him and asked to be taken to Arthur. When they tried to apprehend him instead, Osgar used his magic to throw them into a tree, but not before Gwaine stabbed him.
Mortally wounded, Osgar left Gwaine and Elyan and made his way to Arthur. He told Arthur of the Disir's judgement against him and handed him the runemark, which Arthur reluctantly accepted. He also told Arthur that it was not too late to find the true path and redeem himself, after which he died.
Osgar's body was buried in the forest. Though sorcerers were not permitted marked graves, Mordred later caught Merlin constructing a small cairn of stones over Osgar's in secret (The Disir).
