  • In 2010, ActionAid sent her, as a Jewish abassador, to Palenstine to gain perspective on the Israeli-Palenstinian conflict, to discuss options for peace with actual citizens affected by the generations-long conflict, and to volunteer with ActionAid's outreach programs.
  • She is a proud lesbian, who has been in the same committed and unwed relationship for over 43 years and doesn't think marriage, civil partnership, or any other public/legal declaration of a couple's togetherness is necessary for partnership and commitment.
