A Lady is a title given to a woman of noble birth. A lady can be a co-ruler of a Kingdom along side her husband if they are a king or lord. Female offspring of lords or knights and their wives are often given this title after birth. This title is presumably given to a woman of lower status temporarily before becoming a Queen the most notable case of this is that of servant girl Guinevere upon her marriage to King Arthur Pendragon before she is crowned queen.
