Julian Murphy is one of the four Co-Creators of Merlin who has produced all the episodes to date, and was also the executive producer for Merlin - Secrets & Magic for season 2, in 2008. In 2010 he was nominated (along with Jake Michie, Julian Jones, and Johnny Capps) for a TV Quick Award for Best Family Drama for Merlin. On the 24th of July 2011, he confirmed, along with Johnny Capps , that Merlin will return for a Fifth Series. Over a year later, he announced that there was to be no sixth Series and that Merlin will finally come to an end with Series 5. He and Johnny Capps are said to be working as a duo and planning to create works of their own.
