Guinevere's Engagement Ring is a ring that Arthur gave to Guinevere when she accepted his marriage proposal.
History[]
Arthur gave Guinevere her engagement ring after she accepted his marriage proposal. Gwen proudly wore the ring during the court's wedding preparations, including the wedding tourney Arthur held in her honour.
The wedding was later canceled after Gwen betrayed Arthur with Lancelot. She was consequently exiled from Camelot and took her ring with her when she left (Lancelot du Lac).
During her exile, Gwen wore her ring on a string around her neck. Morgana snatched Gwen's ring from her neck after chasing her into the woods and it was later found by Arthur during his hunt with Princess Mithian. Finding the ring caused Arthur to realise that he still loved Gwen despite her betrayal and he consequently broke off his engagement to Mithian (The Hunter's Heart).
Arthur later returned the ring to Guinevere in the aftermath of the Second Fall of Camelot. Having realised that he couldn't bear to lose her, Arthur proposed to her a second time and returned the ring to her finger when she accepted. Gwen later wore the ring during her coronation (The Sword in the Stone).

- Gwen is frequently seen wearing a ring in Series 5, but it is noticeably different from the one that Arthur gave her.
- It is possible that Gwen's ring once belonged to Arthur's mother, Ygraine, as she is seen wearing a similar ring in some photos.
