A raven. It was terrifying, Gaius. What do you think it means?
Morgana Pendragon[src]

Ravens are large, heavily built black crows that feed mainly on carrion. The people of Albion sometimes use them as messenger birds.

History[]

Morgana's Dream

Morgana dreams of Cornelius Sigan's return.

The sorcerer Cornelius Sigan adopted the raven as his personal symbol. They were featured on his family crest and signet ring, and a booby-trapped statue of one guarded his tomb. He also wore a cloak of raven feathers.

After Cedric released Cornelius Sigan's spirit, Morgana began to have prophetic dreams about a raven. These visions foreshadowed his attack on Camelot (The Curse of Cornelius Sigan).

A raven appeared in Morgana's vision of the Battle of Camlann (The Darkest Hour).

The Knights of the Round Table startled a raven at the Druid Shrine (A Herald of the New Age).

Ruadan used a raven to send a message to Morgana moments before he died (Arthur's Bane).

Morgana used a raven to send word to Odin about Arthur's plan to rescue Rodor (Another's Sorrow).

The Dochraid sent a raven to warn Morgana that Emrys was trying to un-enchant Gwen (With All My Heart).

Morgana's Raven

Morgana often used ravens to send messages to her allies.

Finna used a raven to inform Alator that she'd found Emrys (The Kindness of Strangers).

In the aftermath of the Battle of Camlann, Eira used a raven to send word to Morgana about Arthur's whereabouts (The Diamond of the Day).
