Ravens are large, heavily built black crows that feed mainly on carrion. The people of Albion sometimes use them as messenger birds.

The sorcerer Cornelius Sigan adopted the raven as his personal symbol. They were featured on his family crest and signet ring, and a booby-trapped statue of one guarded his tomb. He also wore a cloak of raven feathers.
After Cedric released Cornelius Sigan's spirit, Morgana began to have prophetic dreams about a raven. These visions foreshadowed his attack on Camelot (The Curse of Cornelius Sigan).
