Heat Spells are elemental spells used to magically heat objects. They are closely related to fire spells.
History[]
Merlin disarmed one of the bandits attacking Ealdor by placing a heat spell on his sword (The Moment of Truth).
When Aredian took Morgana hostage, Merlin disarmed him by placing a heat spell on his dagger (The Witchfinder).
While in a hurry to visit Freya, Merlin used his magic to heat Arthur's bathwater. However, the spell was too powerful and brought the water to a boil (The Lady of the Lake).
While fighting in the Decennial Tournament, Gilli used a nonverbal heat spell to disarm his opponent (The Sorcerer's Shadow).
When he lodged the sword Excalibur in a stone deep in the forest, the nonverbal spell Merlin used caused the blade to grow warm enough to throw off sparks. The spell he used to help Arthur remove it had the same effect (The Coming of Arthur, The Sword in the Stone).
The spell that Morgana used to duplicate the siege tunnel plans had the effect of heating the page to print its contents onto a piece of cloth (The Hunter's Heart).
After she and Odin conquered Nemeth, Morgana disguised herself with an ageing spell and forced Princess Mithian to help her infiltrate Camelot. At one point Mithian tried to escape and warn Arthur of her plans, but Morgana caught her and punished her by casting a nonverbal heat spell on her bracelet (Another's Sorrow).
