The Dog Statue is a granite statue of a dog that Merlin used to practice an animation spell he found in Gaius' Grimoire.
History[]
When Arthur was to duel Knight Valiant in the Tournament of Camelot, Merlin decided to prove that Valiant was cheating by using an animation spell to summon the snakes on his enchanted shield. Merlin practiced the spell on a granite statue of a dog and eventually succeeded in bringing it to life (Valiant).
Trivia[]
- The dog that Merlin brought to life appeared to be a Rottweiler (Valiant).
- The dog proved to be extremely aggressive after it was brought to life, as it tried to attack both Merlin and Gaius. It is unknown what became of it after the events of the episode (Valiant).
