The Carved Dragon is a wooden figurine that Balinor carved for his son, Merlin.
History[]
Balinor carved the wooden dragon while telling Merlin about his time in Ealdor and why he'd had to leave. He finished the carving after Merlin went to bed and left it for him to find in the morning.
After Balinor was killed, Merlin took the carving back to Camelot. Gaius later found Merlin holding the carving while weeping over his father's death (The Last Dragonlord).
