How long is gwen going to be evil? She is my fave character and I'm an almighty Arwen fan and yesterday's episode broke my heart :( saying she is brainwashed does that mean she knows what she's doing just influenced by morgana??

i dont know how gwen will react to knowing that she tried to kill arthur, i was saying it would be exciting to see:) i agree with all the above and cannot wait for saturday!!! im am going to be devasted when merlin ends:'(
I just heard the bad news, that BBC cancelled Merlin. What a stupid move, it is such a great show, and obviously has a huge following. I wish some other station would pick it up! I am really sad about this news.
Is it just me, or is Gwen really bad atbeing evil? It seems that the last 3 or so episodes have not been that great. I am a GIGANTIC Merlin fan, but I think something about the show has changed. It seems like the writing style is different, the music is too intense at really awkward moments, and Merlin hasn't really been badass at all this season! I still love the show, I just think they are dragging the whole Morgana and Gwen thing out WAY too much.
If we knew that we had a few seasons left the four episode(at least) Gwen being allied with Morgana would be ok. But, since this is the last season(really stupid move to cancel it), there are so many other story lines that should be explored further and tied up. Four episodes about basically the same thing seems to be overkill on this theme. Will Albion come to be? What will come of Aithusa and Kilgharrah. Will Morgana and Merlin/Emerys have a showdown? Will Arthur find out about Merlin's magic? If so, how will he react? It's possible that these issues will be covered in the next five episodes. It looks like the next episode "With All My Heart" will continue the Evil Gwen storyline. That will leave us four episodes to cover and resolve an awful lot. Bottom line, yes they did drag out this Morgana and Gwen thing too much.
i agree but isnt gwen going to be fixed in the next episode?
im so sad that merlins finished, what am i going to do with my saturdays now? go out with friends and get a social life? BORING!
Yep, but I fear that Arthur will be absolutely cross with Morgana. Take his anger out on all of magic.Execute someone close to Mordred and then have Mordred kill him out of vengence....
From what I gather, "With All My Heart" is supposed to resolve this "Evil Gwen" storyline. I certainly hope so. That would leave four episodes to resolve and conclude the rest of the story. There is a lot to cover, so I really hope that the Evil Gwen storyline is all wrapped up in episode 9.
Does anyone know whether the two hour finale will be considered one, or two episodes? It would be awesome if it was one two hour episode rather than two episodes being shown back to back....that would give us six more hours to go, or five hours after "With All My Heart" to conclude the legend. I can't wait to see if and how Merlin tells Arthur about his having magic. Also, I am very curious to see how the writers are going to take Mordred from being a loyal, and grateful Knight, to Arthur's murderer. And, hopefully, we will see Merlin/Emerys and Kilgharrah overcome Morgana, and save Aithusa from the same fate as Morgana.
Anyways gwen wasnt good at giving evil grins like morgana...sorry for any 'evil' gwen fans!
i agree it was a relief! I want to see Gwen at Arthurs side as the series rolls on to the finale. As Arthur said, she is kind and wise! I am curious to see how Gwen feels about being Morgana's pawn, and attempting more than once to kill the love of her life. I guess we have one more episode before we get into the Mordred turning against Arthur story line. I can't help but thinking that Mordred might have a different fate if Merlin had befriended him instead of being so suspicious, and leery of him. The do have a lot in common, having magic, but want to fit into the rest of the world by keeping their gifts to themselves(or between a very select few). If Mordred and Merlin had been friends, Merlin would have had some influence and may have been able to help Mordred when Arthur sentences Kara to death. Mordred has nobody to help him with the huge conflict between his loyalty to Arthur and Camelot(Albion), and his rage at Arthur for putting Kara to death. Merlin might have even helped Mordred to free her. We will never know, because Merlin's biggest fear, that he fights so hard against is the prophecy that Mordred would kill Arthur. I wonder if by his belief that this will happen, actually brings it to be. I have mentioned this in a few other posts, but it almost seems like Merlin's Bane is also Merlin...Giaus and Kilgharrah have told Merlin that their are many different possible realities, or fates, and that what he does will have a great effect upon which one comes to pass. Alienating Mordred, and treating him as though he has already turned against Arthur. This conviction only propels the never ending circle of fate to lead to Merlin's biggest fear.
I just want to mention how wonderful it was to see Merlin use his power as Dragon Lord to stop Aithusa from from attacking Arthur, Gwen, Mordred and himself. I hope that Merlin's power as Dragon Lord will be the thing that ends the final battle.
Auroradawn I think that she is only going to be evil for the next episode. I hope that Merlin as Dragoon will save the day.
Deffinitly Gwen being evil is all Morganas doing. Gwen must be under sime short of spell and dosent know what she is doing
