Angel Coulby is a British actress. She portrays Guinevere on the BBC series Merlin. She has appeared in almost all of the episodes to date, with the exception of The Sorcerer's Shadow, Love in the Time of Dragons, Aithusa and a Herald of the New Age.
Like many Merlin actors and actresses, she had a small role on Doctor Who before Merlin, playing a friend of Madame De Pompodour in The Girl in the Fireplace.
In an interview, she stated that she enjoys being able to play Gwen from an early stage in her life, where she's a humble and lowly maid servant, all the way to her becoming Queen of Camelot. She has stated in past interviews that she enjoys music festivals and has recently taken up sewing and is learning to make clothes.
She made her television debut in the BBC television sitcom Orrible. Coulby trained for a degree in acting at the Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.
