- “In the Book of Gallah there's an antidote that can undo such ageing spells.”
- — Gaius to Merlin[src]
The Ageing Reversal Antidote is a potion used to reverse the effects of ageing spells.
Creation[]
Gaius brewed this potion to counteract the effects of Merlin's ageing spell, which was too powerful for him to break on his own. He found the recipe in the Book of Gallah and it took him almost an entire night to make.
The book instructed Gaius to join the potion's ingredients together with a small drop of water and vinegar, then bind them with magic. The process could take three or more hours and could not be rushed. Once they were bound in liquid form, they were to be heated at a graduated rate over an orange flame (Queen of Hearts).
Effects[]
When Merlin ingested the potion, he immediately reverted to his youthful form. Though he eventually became more adept at casting ageing spells, he continued to rely on this potion to change back (Queen of Hearts, The Wicked Day, A Lesson in Vengeance).

Trivia[]
